Kroenke Promises Success To Arsenal


 Stan Kroenke has officially become the owner of a majority stake in Arsenal. Monday (11 / 4), the tycoon from the United States was taking over ownership of the Gunners.

As reported by some British media, Kroenke bought shares owned by Danny Fiszman and Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith. With the purchase, the total shares owned by Kroenke is now a nearly 63 percent.

"Arsenal is a fantastic club with a history and special tradition," said Kroenke which also owns several sports clubs in the United States. "We also have a special manager Arsene Wenger on the figure. We will make this club forward and achieve success," he promised.

Wenger was delighted to welcome Kroenke. "I've worked with him for several years. I believe, he had a strong bond with Arsenal. He understands the tradition and culture of this club, and the ambition to safeguard the future of this club," the Gunners manager beber it.

Kroenke bought shares of two previous owners of 11,750 pounds per share. Takeover value of at least 300 million pounds.

Although Kroenke became a majority shareholder, directors susuna unchanged. Peter Hill-Wood continues to serve as chairman. Only, he and some minority shareholders, intends to release its ownership to Kroenke. Meanwhile, Alisher Usmanov which controls 27 percent stake Arsenal refused to comment.
