Swedish car manufacturer Volvo will recall thousands of cars consisting of models S60, S80, XC60 and XC70 because of a problem with the electrical wiring that can make the airbag does not work when the collision occurred.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) called for the owner of a Volvo S60, S80, XC60 and XC70 output in 2012, to go to the nearest dealer and ask for repairs to the damage that could potentially affect the performance of the front and side airbags.
"In all the vehicles (which need to be recalled), the wiring harness under the front seat may not properly attached to the frame. As a result, when the seat is moved to adjust the seat position, wiring harness may be interested, and disconnected," said NHTSA as reported inautonews.
"In the event of a collision, the airbag or side may not grow well or not at all, increasing the risk of getting hurt."
Volvo The plan will attract 17 thousand units of S60, S80, XC60 and XC70 models in 2012 related to the problem that arises out of this the first time on February 27. This recall is scheduled to begin on March 30.
