Video documentary "Stop Kony 2012" which lasted 29 minutes describing the crimes of civil war in Uganda that has claimed the lives of children. Number of children abducted, raped and even.
During 1987-2002, Uganda rebel leader, Joseph Kony, and his troops, Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) has kidnapped 30 thousand children in Uganda to serve as soldiers. Some of them also reported experiencing sexual harassment.
"The LRA is active in Uganda for nearly 20 years, they have killed 1.7 million people and abducted at least 30 thousand children," said Fred Opolot, Uganda government spokesman as reported by the Telegraph, Saturday, March 10, 2012.
Jason Russell is having the initial idea to preach to the world of the atrocities Kony affairs. NGOs working with Invisible Children, based in California, United States, he and two colleagues, Bobby Bailey and Laren Poole, making the video "Kony 2012" to uncover the evil leader of Uganda's rebel movement. These three men had been to Uganda in 2003, when they were still attending college.
The video then upload them to Youtube. The results are remarkable. Kony's name and crime - which was originally only known in Uganda - has now spread throughout the world.
Internaional Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands, in 2005, is already indicted him on charges of mass kidnapping, sexual abuse, murder, and various other war crimes charges. U.S. President Barack Obama in the future also once tried to arrest him.
In 2011, Obama has sent 100 troops to central Africa to help the Ugandan army to hunt Kony. However, until now no one knew where it was brutal rebel leader.
