Orbital Technologies, a technology company from Russia has plans to build the first space hotel in the world within five years.
Hotel capacity of seven people will be called the Space Hotel, or "Commercial Space Station", which will be lifted up to an altitude of 250 miles above the Earth.
Before check-in, guests will undergo special training for 3 months, depending on the plane that will take to the hotel.
Then what activities are offered by this hotel? Apparently not much, other than activity online and watching TV.
"Most likely, there will be internet access and other communications", according to Sergey Kostenko, CEO of Orbital Technologies, the company that will build the hotel.
For food, the menu will be prepared before the day of departure. Alcoholic beverages are also not allowed to be brought into the hotel. In addition, the hotel does not provide shower facilities, but will be available wipes to cleanse the body.
Orbital Technologies plans to use Russian Soyuz capsules to bring guests and workers to the hotel, although it is possible to use the spacecraft made in the United States, Europe and China.
The amount of the cost of making this hotel is still unclear, there has been no statement from the company, although the Russian government hopes that this project could be a Cash Cow for space exploration program.
