5 Adverse Effects Sleep Deprivation


As reported in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Christian Benedict of the University of Uppsala in Sweden, who led the study suggests, sleeping with sufficient intensity can prevent a lot to prevent weight gain.

"Our findings indicate that lack of sleep a night can acutely reduce energy expenditure in healthy men, this suggests that sleep contributes in regulating the human energy expenditure during the day," he wrote.

Young men have high blood sugar levels, hunger-regulating hormone like gherelin, and stress hormones such as cortisol are high after disturbed sleep. However, lack of sleep does not increase the amount of food consumed by the men.

3. Disadvantaged sleep one night, can slow the metabolism in the morning, reducing the energy expenditure for a number of jobs such as breathing and merncerna for five to 20 percent, than in people with sleep enough.

4. People who sleep five hours or less per day to be more susceptible to weight gain and weight-related diseases such as type-2 diabetes. However, the studies were not revealed, lack of sleep as a cause of weight gain.

5. The Center for Sleep Gangguang at Boston Medical Center, Sanford, Auerbach argues lack of sleep meruapakan complicated problems. "They found that we adjust ourselves from lack of sleep and some of these adjustments could theoretically lead to obesity," he said.

To overcome this, the National Sleep Foundation, a foundation that examines sleep, suggest adults should sleep as much as seven-nine hours of sleep per night. The reason, of course, for the adverse effects described above did not come.
