Antonio Meucci is Original Discoverer Telephone Not Alexander Graham Bell


Antonio Santi Giuseppe Meucci, (born 13 April 1808 - died October 18, 1889 at age 81 years) was an Italian inventor of the invention is a modern communication tool that is needed by this society to the social life of the phone. Generally, better known as the inventor of the telephone was Alexander Graham Bell society, but history seems to be rewritten because it is an immigrant from Firenze (Florence), Italy named Antonio Meucci had invented the telephone in 1849 and patented his work in 1871.

Antonio Meucci was born in San Frediano, near the city of Florence in 1808. He is a graduate of the Academy of Art Florence, then worked at the Teatro della Pergola until 1835, and later offered a job at the Teatro Tacon in Havana, Cuba and immigrated there with his wife. Antonio Meucci In her spare time likes to investigate things and create new stuff without despair. Meucci had developed a way to use electric stun to heal illness and became popular because of it. 

In 1850, he moved to Staten Island, New York. At that time Meucci impoverished, but still continue to refine the tools that have been created that is a phone. Because he was seriously ill and a difficult economy, his wife was forced to sell some of his creations tools only costs six dollars for medical expenses. After recovering, Meucci worked hard day and night to re-create the means of creation. In 1871, due to not enough money to pay for telephone patents, patent while it pays only applicable for one year and must be renewed in subsequent years. 






Meucci tried to demonstrate the potential of "speaking telegraph" this and bring the model and all the descriptions on the vice chairman of Western Union telegraph company. Every time Meucci was going to see the vice chairman, Edward B. Grant always said that he did not have the time. Two years later, when asked for return of all materials Meucci telephone at the company, it turns out they just said it had "disappeared."
In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell bears the name as the inventor of the telephone. After Meucci knew it, he called a lawyer to protest the United States Patent Office in Washington. Meucci suffered defeat to the case. After a feud between Alexander Graham Bell with the new Western Union revealed that Bell had previously agreed to pay twenty percent of commercial advantage over the "discovery" for 17 years to the Western Union. Antonio Meucci died on October 18, 1889. 

More than a century and throughout the world, Alexander Graham Bell is known as the inventor of the telephone. But on June 11, 2002 in the United States Congress, Antonio Meucci as the inventor of the telephone set.
