Ben Spies celebrated the first victory in MotoGP

Ben Spies in Assen victory was sweet because it has double meanings. However, Casey Stoner still be happy because they still topped the standings.
Spies had just recorded his first win in the MotoGP class after becoming the first driver to cross the finish line the Dutch MotoGP on Saturday (06/25/2011).
The victory was more special because he please register at the Yamaha was wrapped in a special livery, which marks 50 years of participation in the Yamaha motorcycle racing world championship grand prix.
Previously, the best record in the MotoGP class only Spies finished second, which is in Indianapolis last year. For this season, he has been on the podium as third place finish in Catalunya.
Meanwhile, Stoner, who raced for Honda this time had to settle for finishing in second position after the three previous series has always come out a champion. However, he still leads the standings with 136 points.

With the race 21 laps remaining, Spies is still being followed duo led the race with Honda, Stoner and Dovizioso, who is quite tight snatch second place. Rossi was in fourth position, while Lorenzo was still scattered at the back in 11th position.
Still 16 laps remaining and Spies led the way with quite comfortably, about 3.5 seconds, from Stoner, who was in second position. Dovizioso still fill the top three.
One lap later, Cal Crutchlow who often overshadow Rossi to snatch fourth place pick into the pit. There seems to be a problem with the bike. Lorenzo meanwhile was in ninth position.
Lorenzo quickly climbed to eighth position and is now threatening Hiroshi Aoyama in front of him. Can he get to the top five or even a podium?
Entering the final 10 laps, Spies still leads by Stoner and Dovizioso behind him. Rossi was in fourth place and Colin Edwards in fifth position.
Five laps terisa, Spies is still comfortably in front and most certainly crossed the finish line first, if no incidents. Behind him was filled Stoner, Dovizioso and Rossi, Nicky Hayden is now filling five positions.
In the last three laps, Lorenzo successful position fix. He successfully pushed into sixth place with Edwards is now pushed to the seventh position.
