U.S. Involved in Massacre Yemen


Istitut Director of Gulf Affairs said that the United States directly involved in eliminating the anti-government protesters in Yemen.
"There is a direct link between U.S. aid to Yemen with the murder of hundreds of the demonstrators," said Ali al-Ahmed told Press TV.
Referring to U.S. efforts to arm the Yemeni regime and the presence of U.S. forces in that country under the pretext of combating terrorism, Ahmed said that the U.S. is also responsible for the high death rate among the protesters in Yemen.
Ahmed added, although trained by U.S. forces and CIA did not directly shoot the demonstrators in Yemen, they act provided the basis for other forces to conduct repressive actions against unarmed civilians.
Political analysts suggested the U.S. to focus on supporting the people of Yemen, instead of sending weapons to autokrat regime of President Ali Abdullah Saleh. He said, "This is the best way for the U.S. to minimize the threat from al-Qaeda."
Ahmed added, "Saleh al-Qaeda support and use it as a bargaining tool with Saudi Arabia and the United States. If Saleh is out of the palace (the presidential), then the threat of al-Qaeda is greatly reduced."
Hundreds of thousands of people fall in regular protests in several cities in Yemen, including in Sana'a, Aden, and Taiz. They complained about rampant corruption and unemployment problems as well as demanding Saleh resign from office.
40 percent of Yemen's population living on under $ 2 per day or even less, while a third of Yemen's population with food shortages.
The protesters confronted by riot police or the supporters of Saleh who were armed with knives and billy clubs.
Saleh said that he would not run again in 2013, but he vowed to maintain his regime "until the last drop of blood."
According to news circulating, the death rate in Yemen has penetrated the 300 since the protests began in late January last.
Clashes between the demonstrators in Yemen and security forces loyal to the regime continues to bring the bloody violence.
The protests in Yemen partly inspired by another riot that hit the Middle East.
