Audi Launches A3 E-Tron Hybrid at SAS 2011


Exhibition Shanghai Auto Show (SAS) this year became an opportunity for the famous car manufacturer to launch the latest series car. One of them is Audi, which introduced a hybrid concept car, A3 E-Tron.

This concept car offers a machine with two power units, ie, 1.4-liter TFSI engine four-cylinder direct injection turbocharging that of petrol, and catapult capable of up to 211 horsepower. The second power comes from an electric motor with an output of 27 horsepower.

This engine package is claimed, to accelerate from 0-100 kilometers per hour in 6.8 seconds and can penetrate up to a maximum speed of 143 miles per hour.

Not only that, this machine is configured with battery power that lies behind the passenger seat, and dikisarkan can travel a distance of 34 miles only with electric power. This battery power can be recharged with a standard energy recovery system when the car is moving, also with household electricity.

An additional feature that is intelligent Audi thermal systems, and power start-stop system. This concept car were treated to seven-speed transmission system S-Tronic, which can be operated in automatic and manual modes.

For the exterior design, the Audi also give special attention to the concept car A3 E-Tron, namely by providing a lighter weight, including doors and hood are made of aluminum.

Reporting from The Green Car Website, the A3 is a hybrid, the driver is offered with five modes of the characteristics of the engine, power steering, and S-tronic, like comfort, automatic, dynamic, individual and efficient, and economical.
