Too Mighty, the Celtics Beat Knicks


Boston Celtics became the first team to qualify for the next round of the NBA play-offs by getting rid of the New York Knicks. Knicks swept the Celtics by a score of 4-0.

Although the Knicks have to play at home, Madison Square Garden on Monday (4/25/2011) morning local time, the Celtics actually appear dominant in this fourth meeting. Celtics won 101-89.

Celtics led 29-23 at the end of the first quarter and 55-38 at the end of widen finished the second quarter.

Knicks tried to get up in the third quarter and reduce the pace to be 72-82.

But the Knicks did not continue the rise in the final quarter and the Celtics finally ensure the ticket to the Eastern Conference semifinals with a victory is final, 101-89.

Kevin Garnett became a star with the Celtics scored 26 points and 10 rebounds. Rajon Rondo also performed brilliantly and won 21 points plus 12 assists.

Knicks camp, injury problems still haunt them. Their flagship, Amare Stoudemire, can only scored 19 points and 12 rebounds while Carmelo Anthony scored 32 points.

This quick victory makes the Celtics got a break one week before the fall in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Possibly, their opponent was the Miami Heat who was facing the Philadelphia 76ers.

Heat failed because the Sixers swept the four games they lost at home to Sixers 82-86, so now the score finished 3-1, still make the Heat. The fifth party will take place in Miami.

One more game today was when the Atlanta Hawks finished 3-1 away their advantage over the Orlando Magic with a 88-85 victory in the fourth party at home
