Toshiba Launches Tablet Android 3.0 in June


Toshiba announced their plan to launch a tablet PC at the end of June. Product-based Android operating system 3.0 or Honeycomb is a new competitor in the global market tablet.

This was disclosed Toshiba president Masaaki Oosumi Wednesday (04/20/2011) told a news conference in Tokyo, Japan. The tablet, said Oosumi, is targeted to capture 10 percent of the total pie in the tablet market globally in 2013.

Toshiba tablet PCs were first introduced in January at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. At that Toshiba has not given the exact date or price.

Now, according to Toshiba, this product will be sold at around ¥ 60,000 in Japan. While prices outside the Home Affairs Sakura has not been disclosed.

Toshiba's Tablet PC is powered by the Dual-Core Processor Nvidia Tegra 2. Achieve 1280x800 resolution screen. Toshiba also adds a 5 megapixel camera on the back, and 2 megapixel camera on the front to support the video call feature.

There's also an HDMI connection and a microSD slot. Unlike other tablet PC, Toshiba says that their product can replace the batteries.

In Japan, this product will be marketed under the name 'Rezga. "The same name is used in flat screen television product belongs to them.
