Ground water beneath the location of Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) Fukushima Daiichi reported to have been contaminated with radioactive materials. Not yet unknown cause, but is expected to have very high levels of radiation. Reporting from the pages of The Wall Street Journal, Friday, April 1, 2011, officers of the company Tokyo Electric Power Co.. (Tepco) found levels of radioactive iodine-131 in ground water around the plant. Tepco through a statement saying radiation levels found in ground water at a depth of 15 meters.
